The Two-Factor Authentication add-on provides an extra layer of protection for your Ultimate Membership Pro login system.
Instead of relying only on a password, users confirm their identity with an additional verification code sent via email or SMS — ensuring only authorized members access your protected content.
How It Works
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second step to the login process by combining:
- Something the user knows (password)
- Something the user has (verification code sent to email or mobile device)
After submitting their username and password, the member receives a unique code they must enter to complete login — significantly increasing security and preventing unauthorized access.
2FA Inside Ultimate Membership Pro
Once enabled, members will enter their login details as usual, then receive a verification code via:
- ✅ SMS
- ✅ Or both (admin-selected method)
Only after validating this code can users access their member dashboard and restricted content.
Flexible Authentication Settings
Admins can fully control how authentication functions:
- Select preferred delivery method (SMS, email, or both)
- Choose from trusted SMS gateways such as TeleSign, BulkSMS, Messente, InfoBip, and ClickSend
- Set expiration time for verification codes (10 minutes – 1 hour)
- Control how many times users can request a new code
- Create customized success/error messages for a user-friendly login flow
