Payment Reminder

When someone picks a Membership but doesn’t finish paying, the order stays Pending and the sale is usually lost. Payment Reminder follows up for you: it sends automatic payment reminder emails to members with unpaid membership orders, a few days after they ordered, while the order is still unpaid.

You decide when the first email goes out and how many follow. Members who already paid never get one.

Automatic payment reminder emails for pending orders

• Pick the delay. The first reminder goes out a set number of days after the pending order was created.
• Choose how many to send. One reminder, or several on consecutive days.
• Only for unpaid orders. A reminder is sent only while the order is still Pending, so paying members are never chased.
• Personal, not generic. Tags fill in the member’s first and last name, the Membership, the amount, your site name and a link to your site.
• Sent from your usual address. Reminders use the same sender name and email as your other Ultimate Membership Pro notifications.

How Payment Reminder works

1. Switch on the add-on in Ultimate Membership Pro.
2. Set how many days to wait after a pending order and how many reminders to send.
3. Edit the subject and the message, or keep the ready-made text.
4. A daily check finds pending orders that are due and emails each member.

When a payment reminder brings the sale back

• Members who left the payment page. They chose a Membership, then got distracted. A friendly email gives them an easy way back.
• Bank transfer orders. Orders paid by bank transfer stay Pending until you confirm the payment, so a reminder keeps them from being forgotten.

For example, a coaching club can wait three days after a pending order and then send two reminders. The email names the Membership and its price, so the member knows exactly what is waiting.

Which plans include Payment Reminder?

Payment Reminder comes with the Full Package and Agency plans, together with all 46 Pro add-ons. The Pro plan doesn’t include Pro add-ons.

Which members get a payment reminder email?

Only members whose order is still Pending. As soon as the order is paid, the reminders stop.

How many reminders can one order get?

As many as you set in the Repeat option. They go out one a day, starting after the number of days you chose.

Can I write my own reminder email?

Yes. You edit the subject and the message, and tags fill in the member’s name, the Membership, the order amount, your site name and your site address.
