Set up your creator membership in four steps

1Create your MembershipsFor example Free, Supporter and Insider, each with its own price and billing. Add a trial if you like.

2Lock your contentLock members-only posts with the Locker, tease the rest with the Inside Locker and set when new posts open.

4Connect payments and emailStripe or PayPal for recurring payments, and your email platform for new members.

What you’ll use alongside it

Ultimate Membership Pro runs your memberships. A few creator jobs belong to other tools.

Not part of Ultimate Membership Pro

Video and audio hosting: keep your files on your media host and embed them in members-only pages. Forums: Ultimate Membership Pro doesn’t include one. Sending your newsletter: your email platform sends it. The built-in opt-in sends only the email address to one list. On Stripe and Braintree, a coupon for just the first payment of a recurring Membership has to be a full discount. Partial first-payment discounts don’t work there. Pay per post, ConvertKit and MailChimp PRO need Full Package, and Ultimate Affiliate Pro is sold separately. Everything else on this page works on every plan.

Can I use Ultimate Membership Pro as a Patreon alternative on WordPress?

Yes, if you want your membership on your own WordPress site instead of a creator platform. You create the Memberships, lock the posts and choose the payment gateways, and members sign up on your site.

What do I need besides a membership plugin for creators?

Your WordPress site, an account with a payment gateway such as Stripe or PayPal, and a media host if you share videos or audio. Ultimate Membership Pro handles the Memberships, payments, locked content and member accounts.

Can I offer a free tier and paid tiers?

Yes. Each Membership can be free or paid, and you can create as many as you like. Paid Memberships can bill every month or year, a set number of times, or once.

Can fans pay what they want?

Yes. With Membership Dynamic Price, members choose the amount between a minimum and a maximum you set. It is included in every plan.

Can I sell a single post without a Membership?

Yes, with Full Package. Pay per Post sells one post or page for a single payment, and visitors who haven’t paid see your message or go to checkout.

Can fans give a membership as a gift?

Yes. Fans can buy a Membership as a gift. The gift code appears in the Membership Gifts tab of their account, and the person they give it to uses it once.
