Elementor Widget Lock
A membership page usually needs two versions: one that sells to visitors and one that serves members. Elementor Widget Lock lets you restrict Elementor widgets by membership, so one page shows each person the parts meant for them: a join button for visitors, an upgrade box for free accounts, the download area for paying members.
You set it where you already design. Every widget, section and container in the Elementor editor gets an Ultimate Membership Pro lock in its Advanced tab.
Restrict Elementor widgets by Membership, visitor or login
- Show for or hide for. Show an element only to the people you pick, or hide it from them while everyone else sees it.
- Pick by Membership. Each of your Memberships appears by name. Choose several if you like, and a member who holds any one of them matches.
- Target visitors or logged-in users. Registered Users covers everyone who is logged in, with or without a Membership. Unregistered Users covers visitors.
- Widgets, sections and containers. Lock a single button, or a whole container with everything inside it.
- Follows active Memberships. Elements meant for a Membership appear only while the member’s Membership is active.
- Left out of the page. A locked element is not sent to the browser of someone who can’t see it, so its content stays private.
How Elementor Widget Lock works
- Switch on the add-on in Ultimate Membership Pro.
- Edit a page with Elementor and select a widget, section or container.
- In the Advanced tab, turn on the Ultimate Membership Pro lock.
- Choose who sees the element, or who doesn’t, and update the page.
Step-by-step setup is in the Elementor Widget Lock guide.
When to lock parts of an Elementor page
- One pricing page for everyone. Visitors see a join button, free members see an upgrade offer, and paying members see what they paid for.
- Member extras on public pages. Keep an article open to search engines and readers, and lock the download box or video section under it for a Membership.
- Upsells that step aside. Hide an upgrade box from members who already hold the paid Membership, so they only see their content.
For example, a coaching club can show its Join Free Community section only to unregistered users, hide the upgrade box from Pro Monthly and Annual Pass members, and show the live sessions list only to those two Memberships. Visitors see the join button and the upgrade box, Free Community members see the upgrade box, and paying members see the live sessions.
Works well with
- Elementor integration, for the membership forms and member content widgets that come with Ultimate Membership Pro.
- Content restriction, to protect whole pages and posts with the same Memberships.
- Hidden HTML Elements, to hide any element by CSS class or ID, in any theme or builder.
Questions about Elementor Widget Lock
Which plans include Elementor Widget Lock?
Elementor Widget Lock comes with the Full Package and Agency plans, together with all 46 Pro add-ons. The Pro plan doesn’t include Pro add-ons.
Does it work with Elementor containers?
Yes. The lock is available on widgets, sections and containers, so you can restrict one element or a whole layout block.
Can I show a widget to more than one Membership?
Yes. Pick as many Memberships as you need. A member who holds any one of them sees the element.
What do administrators see?
Administrators see every element, so you can keep working on the page. To check what members see, open the page in a private window or log in with a member account.
How do I restrict a whole page?
Whole pages and posts are restricted with Ultimate Membership Pro’s own content restriction, from the editor or with Access Rules. Elementor Widget Lock handles the parts inside a page.
