ConvertKit Integration

Sequences in Kit (formerly ConvertKit) work best when every subscriber carries the right tag. ConvertKit Integration is the ConvertKit membership integration for Ultimate Membership Pro: it signs new members up to a Kit form with your tags, and gives each Membership its own form and tags once a payment completes.

You pick the forms and tags from your own account. From there, your sequences and broadcasts in Kit take over.

What the ConvertKit membership integration does

• A form and tags for everyone. New registrations join your Default Form with your Default Tags.
• A form and tags per Membership. When a payment for a Membership completes, the member joins that Membership’s form with its tags.
• Your defaults fill the gaps. A Membership without tags of its own uses the Default Tags.
• More than a name and email. The member’s other registration form fields go along too, each named by its label.
• Orders you complete count. Setting an order to Completed in the admin signs the member up the same way.
• Forms and tags loaded for you. One click pulls the forms and tags from your Kit account, so you choose them by name.

How ConvertKit Integration works

1. Switch on the add-on and add the API Key and API Secret from your Kit account settings.
2. Load your forms and tags.
3. Choose a Default Form and Default Tags, then a form and tags for each Membership you want to target.
4. New sign-ups and paying members arrive in Kit with the right tags.

When forms and tags per Membership help

• Onboarding for each Membership. Pro Monthly buyers join the Pro onboarding form and Annual Pass buyers join theirs, each ready for its own sequence in Kit.
• One welcome for everyone. Every new sign-up joins your welcome form, and paid Memberships add their own form and tag on top.
• Paying members only. Leave the Default Form empty and only Membership buyers are sent to Kit.

For example, a coaching club sends every sign-up to a Coaching Club Welcome form tagged coaching-club. Pro Monthly buyers also join Pro Members Onboarding with the tag pro-monthly, and Annual Pass buyers join Annual Pass Onboarding with annual-pass.

Which plans include ConvertKit Integration?

ConvertKit Integration comes with the Full Package and Agency plans, together with all 46 Pro add-ons. The Pro plan doesn’t include Pro add-ons.

Does it work with Kit?

Yes. Kit is the new name of ConvertKit. You connect the add-on with the API Key and API Secret of your account.

When is a member sent to Kit?

When they register, to the Default Form with the Default Tags. And when a payment for a Membership completes, to that Membership’s form with its tags.

Which member details go to Kit?

The email address, first name and last name, plus the member’s other registration form fields, named by their labels.

Can a member join the default form and a Membership form?

Yes. With both set, a buyer joins the Default Form at registration and the Membership’s form after the payment. To use only the Membership forms, leave the Default Form empty.
