Limited Subscriptions

Some offers work best when spots are few: a founding-member deal, a small coaching cohort, a program you can run for only so many people. Limited Subscriptions lets you limit membership signups in Ultimate Membership Pro. You set a maximum number of subscriptions for a Membership, and once it is reached, the Membership is no longer offered on your Subscription Plan page.

Members who already joined keep their Membership, and your other Memberships stay on sale as usual.

Limit membership signups, one Membership at a time

• A limit for each Membership. Every Membership on your site is listed with its own number field, labeled with its name.
• Cap only what you choose. Leave a field blank and that Membership has no limit.
• Full means off the page. When the count reaches the limit, the Membership is removed from your Subscription Plan page, so no one else is offered it.
• Open more spots any time. Raise the number, or clear it, and the Membership comes back to the page at once.
• Nothing changes for current members. The limit only decides what new visitors are offered.

How Limited Subscriptions works

1. Switch on the add-on in Ultimate Membership Pro.
2. Type a maximum next to each Membership you want to cap, and leave the rest blank.
3. While spots are left, the Membership shows on your Subscription Plan page as usual.
4. When the number of subscriptions reaches the limit, the Membership is taken off the page.

When a capped Membership helps

• Founding-member offers. Sell a special plan to your first members only, then let it come off your pricing page by itself.
• Small cohorts. Keep a group program to the number of people you can actually coach.
• Plans with a fixed number of places. Workshops, mentoring slots or any offer where space is the point.

For example, a coaching club can cap its Annual Pass at 100 founding places. After the 100th subscription, Annual Pass disappears from the Subscription Plan page, while Free Community and Pro Monthly stay on sale.

Questions about Limited Subscriptions

Which plans include Limited Subscriptions?

Limited Subscriptions comes with the Full Package and Agency plans, together with all 46 Pro add-ons. The Pro plan doesn’t include Pro add-ons.

What counts toward the limit?

Each subscription assigned to the Membership counts once, including expired and on-hold ones. The add-on hides the Membership when that count equals or passes the number you set.

What do visitors see when a Membership is full?

The Membership is simply no longer listed on your Subscription Plan page. Your other Memberships stay where they are.

Can I add more places later?

Yes. Raise the number, or leave the field blank to remove the limit, and the Membership is offered again right away.

Can I limit several Memberships?

Yes. Each Membership has its own field, so you can cap one, several or all of them with different numbers.
