If your business runs on Paystack in Nigeria, Ghana or South Africa, your membership site can take payments through it too. The Paystack add-on is the Paystack WordPress plugin for Ultimate Membership Pro: members pay once on a secure Paystack page, and their Membership is activated as soon as Paystack confirms the charge.

It’s made for one-time payments, so it fits lifetime Memberships, Memberships that last a set time and Memberships with fixed start and end dates.

What the Paystack WordPress plugin does

• A Paystack checkout for each order. Members go to a Paystack payment page and come back to your site after paying.
• The member’s email goes along. Each order reaches Paystack with the member’s email and your order reference.
• Access when the charge succeeds. When Paystack reports a successful charge, the order becomes Completed and the Membership becomes active.
• One key to connect. Paste your Paystack Secret Key. A test key runs test payments, and a live key takes real ones.
• Your account’s currency. Members are charged in your Paystack account’s currency: NGN, GHS or ZAR.
• Coupons and your own label. Coupon codes apply to Paystack payments, and you choose the gateway name members see and its place in the list.

How Paystack works with Ultimate Membership Pro

1. Switch on the Paystack gateway and paste the Secret Key from your Paystack account.
2. Add your site’s webhook URL, shown on the settings screen, in your Paystack account.
3. Choose the page members return to after paying, or keep your Thank You page.
4. Members pay on Paystack and get access as soon as the charge succeeds.

What do I need to use Paystack?

A Paystack business account for a business based in Nigeria, Ghana or South Africa, with a bank account in NGN, GHS or ZAR. Set your site currency to the same currency as your Paystack account.

Can I run a test payment first?

Yes. Put your Paystack business in test mode, paste the Test Secret Key and pay with one of Paystack’s test cards. Then paste your Live Secret Key.

Where do members go after paying?

To the page you choose in the settings. If you don’t pick one, they go to your Thank You page, or to your home page if none is set.
