Ultimate Membership Pro adds 12 widgets to Elementor, so you can place its forms, checkout, Member Portal and content locker on pages you design in Elementor. Each widget shows the same output as the matching shortcode, with the design you set in the plugin’s Showcases.
This guide lists every widget, shows where to find them and explains the three widgets that have settings: the two popups and the Inside Locker.
Before you start
- Elementor is installed and active.
- Your membership pages are set in Ultimate Membership Pro›Settings›Pages Setup. See Set up the membership pages.
Find the widgets
- Open a page with Elementor.
- In the widget panel, type UMP in the search box. All 12 widgets start with “UMP -”.
- Drag a widget onto the page and publish.
Put each widget on its own page
The plugin sends people to the pages chosen in Pages Setup: after registration, to the checkout, after payment and so on. When you build, say, the registration page with Elementor, put the UMP – Register Page widget on the page that is set as the Register page. A form on another page works, but the plugin’s redirects still point to the pages in Pages Setup.
Widgets that show a plugin page
These nine widgets have no settings. Their look comes from the matching showcase in Ultimate Membership Pro, not from Elementor’s style tab.
The registration form. Same as [ihc-register]. Set it up: Set up the registration form.
The login form. Same as [ihc-login-form]. Set it up: Set up the login form.
The list of Memberships people can choose from (your pricing table). Same as [ihc-select-level].
The checkout, where members review the order and pay. Same as [ihc-checkout-page].
The page members see after a purchase. Same as [ihc-thank-you-page].
The Member Portal (My Account). Same as [ihc-user-page]. Set it up: Set up the Member Portal.
The lost password form. Same as [ihc-pass-reset]. Set it up: How password reset works.
A link that logs the member out. Same as [ihc-logout-link]. Set it up: Add a logout link to your menu.
A member’s public profile, on the Public Individual Page. Same as [ihc-visitor-inside-user-page]. Set it up: Show public member profiles.
Popup widgets
UMP – Login Popup and UMP – Register Popup show a link that opens the login or registration form in a popup. Each has one text box with the shortcode; change the text between the tags to change the link text.
Opens the login form in a popup.
Default: [ihc-login-popup]Login[/ihc-login-popup]
Opens the registration form in a popup.
Default: [ihc-register-popup]Register[/ihc-register-popup]
The shortcode attributes are explained in Login and registration popups.
Inside Locker widget
UMP – Inside Locker hides part of a page from some visitors and shows a locker box instead. Write the protected text in the widget, then choose who sees it.
The protected content, in a text editor.
How the Target list is used.
- Show Content Only For: only the targets see the content.
- Hide Content Only For: everyone except the targets sees it.
One or more of All, Registered Users, Unregistered Users and your Memberships.
The locker box people see instead of the content. Templates are made in Ultimate Membership Pro›Inside Lockers.
Test as a visitor
Administrators always see locked content. Check the page logged out or as a member. See Restricted content is visible to everyone.
Example: an Elementor landing page with a members-only video
- Top
- UMP – Select Membership: the three Memberships
- Middle
- UMP – Inside Locker: Show Content Only For Pro Monthly, Annual Pass
- Header
- UMP – Login Popup with the text Member login
- Register page
- UMP – Register Page, on the page set as Register in Pages Setup
Troubleshooting
Why don’t I see the UMP widgets in Elementor?
Search for “UMP” in the widget panel. If nothing shows, check that Ultimate Membership Pro and Elementor are both active, then reload the Elementor editor.
Can I change the widget’s colors in Elementor?
No. The widgets have no Elementor style settings. Change the design in the matching showcase, or add CSS; see Style forms and pages with CSS.
I built a registration page with the widget, but members land on another page. Why?
Redirects follow Pages Setup. Set your Elementor page as the Register page there, or change the redirect settings.
Is there a widget for every shortcode?
No, only the 12 above. For any other part of the plugin, add the shortcode with Elementor’s Shortcode widget. All shortcodes are in Shortcodes reference.
