When a new version is released, you have two ways to update Ultimate Membership Pro to the latest version.
Option 1 – Automatic update (recommended)
As long as your License Key is active on the website, the plugin checks for new releases automatically. When an update is available, you will see an update notification on the WordPress Plugins page (and in the plugin dashboard). Just click Update Now and WordPress will pull and install the latest version for you. No manual download is needed.
Option 2 – Manual update via FTP
If you prefer to update manually, or the automatic update is not available on your setup:
- Log in to your account on ultimatemembershippro.com and download the newest plugin file from your purchase/downloads area.
- Unzip the downloaded file on your computer.
- Connect to your website via FTP and copy the extracted folder into wp-content/plugins/, overwriting the current plugin folder.
That’s it — your plugin will now run on the latest version.
A few recommendations before updating
Each release brings important features, improvements, and fixes, so it’s a good idea to stay up to date. If your current version is very old, always keep a backup of your website (files and database) before updating, so you can safely roll back if needed.
