You can move your Ultimate Membership Pro license from one website to another at any time. Licenses are now managed directly from your account dashboard on our website, using the Manage Sites option — you no longer revoke from inside the plugin.
Moving a license is a two-part process: revoke it from the old site, then activate it on the new one.
Revoke a license from your account
- Log in to your account on our website.
- Open the Licenses tab from your account dashboard. You’ll see every license, its key, status, and active activations. (See Where to Find Your License Key.)
- Find the license you want to free up and click Manage Sites.
- In the list of activated sites, remove (revoke) the site you no longer want the license tied to.
That activation is now free and can be used on another website.
Move the license to a new website
- Revoke the old site first, following the steps above.
- Install and activate Ultimate Membership Pro on the new website using the same License Key from your Licenses page.
That’s it — the license is now active on the new site. If activation doesn’t go through, see Can’t Activate the License.
Have an older, legacy license? Migrate it first
If you purchased Ultimate Membership Pro some time ago and don’t have an account yet, your license is a legacy license and won’t appear under the Licenses tab until it’s migrated.
Before you can use Manage Sites, migrate the legacy license into your account from the Login page:
- Go to the Login page.
- Follow the license Own a Legacy License tab to attach your existing (legacy) license to an account.
- Once migrated, your license appears under the Licenses tab, and you can revoke or move it with Manage Sites as described above.
